Rising Tide Workplace: How to Empower Young Contributors for Greater Resilience, Loyalty and Daring

I asked the website guys (Foundation Creative) to create this blog space because I’m interested in Gen Z workers. And if this interests you too (or topics on leadership generally), I’d be really happy to hear what you have to say.

Research suggests that employers find workers in their twenties carry a certain entitlement, a specialness. Perhaps a fragile earnestness of sorts. And GenZ-ers can find employers to be autocratic and hyper-rational.

Say, I feel a book coming. A title comes to mind: Rising Tide, from “a rising tide lifts all boats,” JFK; Because…

My guess is the key to integrating young workers today is empowerment - precisely what they claim to seek. Which is great, right? That young people want to engage and impact their world is the best news.

The question seems to be how to grow that earnestness and specialness into disciplined, communicative and highly responsible contributors. Into a genuinely empowered team. One that enjoys its success.

So everybody wins (hey, maybe that’s the title).

More soon…
